Here's a bit of what's going on in my life right now:

  • Building out my budgeting app TallyPad
  • Recovering from unknown respiratory issues!
  • Using my pool on weekends to cool off from the Florida heat
  • Taking my motorcycle (a 2025 Ninja 500) on Sunday morning rides (check out my YouTube channel for more rides and bike stuff! )
  • Swapping out the original seat post for a PNW dropper post on my Ozark Trail Ridge mountain bike

August 22, 2024
  • Recovering from a concussion, banged up elbow and knee thanks to my first rough mountain bike crash
  • Got all of the bathrooms in our house renovated!
  • Saw the new Alien Romulus movie with my partner - was pretty good!
  • Gaining way too much weight since being cooped up in the house recovering
  • Tinkering around with the Pokémon API and the JavaScript fetch API
  • Researching and buying bike safety gear - I bought Leatt Impact Shorts, Leatt Airflex Body Armor, and IXS Carve Elbow Pads. I already bought a new IXS full face helmet (cracked my old one) and have POC VPD knee pads!
  • Upgraded my stock Stout square tapered crankset for a Hollowtech crankset
2023 Specialized Rockhopper with upgrades

  • Taking up a new hobby, mountain biking, for the last few months
  • Upgrading my 2023 Specialized Rockhopper Sport bike - so far I've added a dropper post, new stem and carbon stem spacers, handlebars, grips, and most recently, tires and a new fork
  • Working on perfecting thin, crispy homemade pizza made with a high protein dough mixture of vital wheat gluten and King Arthur flour
  • Getting more steps in with my new walking pad
  • Watching all of the Aliens movies with my partner Jeff
  • Learning more about Eleventy

P.S. I don't have social media (except Linkedin if you count that). I used to be on it all the time but it's just not my thing anymore. Cal Newport said it best in his Ted Talk Quit social media and in his post On Digital Minimalism .
